SFW oil-water separators

1、Oil-contained compressed air condensate enters the decompression chamber through water inlet.

2、System pressure is released in the decompression chamber, and condensate slowly flows into the pre-separation chamber.

3、The condensate in the pre-separation chamber is separated to several layers due to gravity difference of oil and water.

4、The upper oil layer, which is constantly thickening, enters the oil storage drum via the overflow device.

5、The condensate with the least amount of oil in the lower layer enters the primary filter chamber through another overflow pipe, which adsorbs and filters most of the oil droplets from it.

6、The condensate, which contains only trace of oil, flows into the secondary filter chamber for final filtration and purification.

7、After filtration, the condensate is discharged directly through the water outlet.

8、SFW4 and SFW8 oil-water separators have single chamber without a pre-separation chamber. The pressure of the oil-contained condensate is reduced by the decompression chamber and is discharged directly after filtering through the oil adsorption and purification filter elements.

9、For polyalphaolefin (PAO) lubricants processing, the separators’ processing capacity is the processing capacity range ±20%. For polyester lubricating oil processing, their processing capacity is the processing capacity range ±40%. The electronic timer drains may cause condensate emulsification, so it is recommended that an intelligent zero air consumption drain and a condensate handler are hooked up to get the best performance.
